Duluth trip August 22, 2009

We took a trip with Jenny and Mya to Duluth on Saturday. Visited Canal park, The Depot, Glensheen and Russ Kendall’s smoked fish :) Hardly any photos from Glensheen… I’ll upload them to the set a later on. Click on Mya eating her treat to see the slideshow.

Flowcharting 2 the extreme.

Windows7

I just replaced Vista with 7 on my gaming PC…   so far so good. Everything works… I think.

#1 Husband

I have the world’s #1 husband, of that I have no doubt.  Next weekend is my birthday and every year I have to give my 4 year old granddaughter, Mya, a present, lol… it’s just part of the tradition!  The little Dell mini netbook went on sale and Miikka wanted to upgrade his.  He agreed that we could give Mya his *old* one, for her present for my birthday and he spent all last night loading all of her favorite things on it… even a SpongeBob desktop, lol.  He got her a really cute little pink case too… she is going to be thrilled!  I love you, Miikka!

For my birthday we are going to go to Duluth, either next weekend or the following one.  I can’t wait!  It will be Miikka, Jenny, Mya and me.  We are hoping to catch the train museum, Glensheen, get some smoked fish and just do some sight-seeing.  I hope the weather cooperates with our plans.

This weekend is the big fly-in at Rick’s Hobby Farm, so Miikka will be there most of the weekend.  I plan to go too, but I usually don’t stay as long as he does, so we drive separately.  I like watching the combat flying.  I hope Les gets his daughter’s combat plane fixed so she can fly it, hehe.  Anyway, it should be a good time for all!

Miikka is recuperating nicely from his surgery… not as quick as if he were 20, but pretty good.  I am just glad it’s over and turned out all right!  Prayers do work!  Other than that, not much new that I can think of… oh!  I need to thank Jenny for the beautiful flowers she got me from Farmer’s Market… they are gorgeous!!!

Poor Miikka…

I feel so bad for Miikka… his stomach looks like a CSI picture of someone who has multiple stab wounds, and I’m sure that’s pretty much what he feels like too!  He is recuperating fine, and is a surprisingly good home patient, lol… I think I was a lot worse when I had my surgery.  I don’t think he will be ready to go back to work on Monday though, unless a miracle happens tomorrow.  They want him to be able to have quick reaction time before getting behind the wheel of a car, and that is not happening yet!  So a little more pampering!

And a big thanks to all the well wishers who have called or sent messages over the computer… he/we appreciate them all!

Surgery…

At home recovering from gallbladder surgery….  the surgery went well.

Started the day by being at the hospital 6:15 AM!!!  way too early for me.

After all the prep was done I walked to the OR at 7:30′ish.

R7 Gallbladder

They rolled me into recovery at 10 ish i think….  dozed off and on until about 1pm.

They did let me go home at 2pm

I’m still hurting…..
