Happy Birthday to Jenny!

It’s Jenny’s 32nd birthday today, so we took her to her favorite restaurant… Red Lobster.  And now here we all sit with a belly ache and meals for tomorrow, lol.  They give you so much food!  Ok, I have to admit I filled up mainly on their biscuits and raspberry lemonade, but it was so good!  Mya was so funny, she loved looking at the live lobsters in the front of the restaurant, but she didn’t want to eat any.  Miikka had crab legs, but Mya thought they were lobster and kept saying she was eating his “lumpster”… had us laughing all night.  What I liked the best though, was looking around the table and realizing I was with the three people I love most in this world.

So happy birthday, Jenny… I hope you have many more to come!

Capitalism

TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM
You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull. Your herd multiplies, and
the economy grows. You sell them and retire on the income.

ENRON VENTURE CAPITALISM
You have two cows. You sell three of them to your publicly listed
company, using letters of credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank,
then execute a debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that
you get all four cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows. The
milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman
Island company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who sells
the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company.
The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with an option on
one more. The public buys your bull.

Congratulations and goodbye?

I guess I finally understand how and why my friends from Sweden felt like they did….

My best friend Isaac is getting married! And he feels like we are not on speaking terms. I understand why now. That sucks!!

When I announced to my friends over in Sweden that I wold get married and move away they resented me at the same time as they wished me the best of luck. Atlest I hope they did.

I mean suddenly I was spending most of my time talking to someone else and not spending time with them and now to top it off I announced that I would be moving away…  that sucked! Who was this monster ripping our friendship apart!!

Now I am in the same boat…  I tried to give my friend some maneuvering room and trying not to lock him down or take so much of his time knowing that he most likely wanted to spend maximum available time with his now bride to be.  Then he started talking about moving…  my thoughts were WTF! and then he proposed and that kinda solidified those plans..  WTFx2! But at the same time I do wish him the absolute best because he is my best friend and I will give him up only if he wishes it and finds joy in it.

I will miss him and his friendship dearly….  however what kind of friend would I be to deny him the bliss of a great marriage.  And I do wish the best for my dear friend Isaac.

Apple Rocks!

Why would anyone buy anything but apple products?!!!? The latest. My aging MacBook pro had a issue because of it’s swollen battery. The battery is 2+ years old and so was my swollen spare battery.

So today during lunchI took the old battery and my spare battery in for recycling and..  I dont know what I was imagining maybe a rebate cuz their batterys suck?

I walk in and ask the usher dude if they recycle the batteries..  he starts talking to his walkie and asking the manager. Manager comes over and looks at the batteies and asks what’s your machines serial# or do you have the reciept? I was stunned….  and just answerd look these are 2+ years old…  they can’t be under warranty. He answers…. “Cuz they are swollen they are under warranty” WHAAA!!!!!  SWEET!!!  I just saved 260 bucks + tax!!!

I have said it before….  and I say it again Apple ROCKS!!!!

Murder Mystery

Miikka, Jenny, Mya and I went to a Murder Mystery dinner theater play that my brother, Joe, and his wife, Kris, wrote and starred in.  It was really good, even though I didn’t guess the right killer.  I believe this was a fund raiser for some of the youth to go to New Orleans.  There were quite a few people there, so I hope they did good!  Miikka took some pictures with his new camera, so I will have to see if he can post them here.

New camera!

I got a new camera!

Top this PETA..

Boy, I bet someone will blow a gasket over this!

Mya

Ok, for my first blog entry I want to write a bit about my granddaughter, Mya.  I never knew being a grandma would be so much fun!  I enjoy everything about her, listening to her talk, even when she is mad.  It’s just fun hearing how the reasoning goes on in her head, lol.  And watching how she drives Jenny nuts sometimes makes me laugh with memories of when Jenny used to drive me nuts!

One of my favorite things to do with her is go grocery shopping, just to see what she thinks she needs for her house.  It seems she usually picks something up with blueberries in it.  And usually some sort of cereal… and milk, of course.  Other than that it’s a crap shoot as to what she thinks she needs.  I especially like taking her to Family Fresh where she can take her own little kid cart.  And just like her mamma… she LOVES to shop!

But one of the best things about having a grandchild is when they get too crabby, they go home!

Second author!!

wordpress-logo-cristal-tm.jpgMy wonderful wife may just begin to blog here too! I installed a blogging too on her desktop (Microsoft Live! Writer) so she may with ease add the musings to the site! I think it will be great!!

Shocker? Not really…

bio

Last night I finally managed to finish my Bioshock game. It was put on the backburner for first by Halo3 then by GOW2 and then the red ring of death.. But now it is done and I can’t wait for the sequal. Shame that the game was so linear. Graphics were good gamepaly was good storyline was intregueing but with some logic flaws.

Congrats Steelers
