A week has passed.

I have been just too busy to blog anything for a week.
We have had wakes and funerals to tend to.. and a lot of meet and greet with folks I never met.

I have truly been the monkey, you know when you go to the zoo.. Everyone knows the monkey but the monkey does not know anyone.

Also found this new twist on Google search called Blingo. While searching you could win prizes.

Thomas O’Connell 1932-2006

My father in law passed away today.
He has joined his wife and is watching over us from above.
God bless his soul and welcome him to his house.

Weekend of high’s and lows.

It all started Friday afternoon evening. Barb went to see her dad who is not doing so good because of cancer.

She was to visit with him and clean up some at his house. When she got there he had gotten worse in a hurry. She called me and and we all started to round up the family who was not there at the time already. at around 9.30 Barb calls me and lets me know the Priest has been called and if I would come. Also on my way pick up Brian ( Sister in laws son).

I picked up Brian and on the way went to see if uncle Mike was at home to let him know his brother is sliding downhill real fast.

When I got there Tom was not in good shape, I took his hand and let him know that we all were there for him. Told him that how grateful and honored I am to have him as my father in law. I know he heard it all because the squeeze was an obvious answer.

At 1am we had to go so we could go to county market to bay snacks and stuff for Mya’s baptism that happened that Saturday.

Got the shopping out of the way and finally got home for a 45 minute nap before we had to go and pick up Bobbie (sis-in-law) at the airport.

Dropped her off at Tom’s house and by that time it was like 4:30am.  Back home for a quick nap before we had start getting ready for Mya’s baptismal ceremonies and reception at hour house.

Today it’s time for Cheryl to get her house..  there is a dedication service and then some. I’ll write more about that and about Tom as I can.

The coronation of… me!

This morning the dentist glued on my new crown…   finally getting it after so many postponed visits.  I think I’ll be done with the torture chamber for a while now.

Readers? Läsare? Lukijoita?

Since the redesign I have been wondering if anyone actually reads my site or not. Like the Photos link or the Links link. Maybe this would be excellent time to tell what hides under those links?

Photos – Mainly snapshots taken with my phone cam of uninteresting or frivolous things.

Links – Three links to sites I enjoy and a continuing collection of links from Digg.com that I find interesting.

————————————————————————

Photos – Kuvia jota olen ottanut puhelin kameralla. Kaikennäköisiä kuvia jotka on aivan hyödyttömiä.

Links – Kolme linkkiä mitä käytän päivittäin ja paljon muita linkkejä mitkä uusiutuu päivittäin Digg.com sivustolta.

Coke BlaK

What can I say. I like testing new products and yesterday I got hold of the new Coca-Cola BlaK. I have had some odd drinks in the past but this one is in a class of it’s own. URGH! The taste is supposed to be Coke mixed with coffee, and it is. I like cola and love coffee but the mix leaves a lot to be desired.

It is impossible to explain the taste, you just have to buy your own and be disappointed by it.

Tired…

Lately the weeks have been a time to rest and weekends have been busy-er than ever. Two more busy weekends and then it’s all good.

Next weekend is Mya’s baptism…  and the weekend after that is setting up my bar in the basement again. :)

What else? Oh…  my car is crumbling, it does not want to start properly, when reaching speeds over 60 it starts shaking, needs oil change and possibly bearings in the front. And the fact that that the AC is doing it’s best imitation of a heater is starting to get to me. New tires would be good too – defenatly before fall.

I’m looking at a new car for me..  maybe a new Beetle TDI? 47 mpg!

We’ll see where it goes. I’ll take the intrigue in for service and add it all up, see how much it is and make a decision.

That was fast.

Same plant again!

Easter….

Man…  than was a long day. It sure feels good having everything in place again and have a sorta quiet evening.

I got a lot done this weekend. Took out the power washer and cleaned up the birdbath and AC condenser. Fixed my broken recliner and some of the holes in the porch screen.

Then today we hosted this years family easter…  14 people in our house. Thought I was going nuts…  and on top of that Kes is in heat again, We HAVE to get her fixed!

Family feuds…

Man, it’s getting more nuts than ever. All my extended familys siblings are just ticked off at one or two of the other ones.

It is just stupid! I do hesitate to write about it cuz of sacret family lines… imaginary or not.

Bloody cat.

Yesterday morning my wife wakes me up because Bonkers our oldest cat was attacked outside by an unknown assailant. Most likely a squirrel that lives in a tree in our backyard.

What happend was that Bonkers went out in the morning about 6am… and Barb let him in at 6.45…  by that time he had fresh blood on his neck and tufts of fur pulled loose from his back. What I am guessing is that the squirrel that lives in the pine tree felt threatend by how close Bonkers came to it’s nest and attacked him. Since he has no claws in the front and is getting very old he didn’t win the fight but I bet the attacker did not get away without injuries. The big difference is that we are giving
all the care possible to our injured champ…   Poor Bonkers :(

Entire morning from then on he slept under our bed….  in the evening he drank some tuna juice and some milk..   this morning he was way better and the antibiotics that we started him on yesterday seem to be working.

This morning I picked up some more medicine for Bonkers at our vet.

I feel so bad for our grumpy fur ball….

Done.

Well… We just missed the finals by two games. Sucks!
