Hitchhikers guide…

Last night I went to see The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy movie.

First of all I have to mention that I am a fan of the five part trilogy.
I saw the movie with a friend of mine who has not read the books and to my suprise he enjoyed the movie, I don’t think he would give it top marks but nevertheless he did enjoy it.

I was slightly dissapointed and then gain I was not. I did follow the book very closely at times and at times it deviated a lot to say the least. New characters new sub plots and so on. But in the end it was all done in the spirit of Douglas Adams so the characters and plots did not seem that out of place.

Somehow I can can see them trying to make a second movie but it will be tough because the audiance for this might be limited the geeks like me. On the brighter side it might open up the works of D.A. to more peple and therefor grow the fanbase and give reason enough to attempt a second movie that will be a well done as this.

Cheap music!

I just started using allofmp3… Man that is some cheap music there.

I bought one full album and 3 songs for like two bucks! And it’s all legal! I highly recommend it.

Just came home from watching KungFu Hustle the movie…

The verdict… Matine or rental.
It was OK but not spectacular in way or form. Maybe they just don’t make movies like they used to?

No more cable TV…

Yesterday they installed the dishnetwork dish and reciever… wow the picture quality is way better than cable!
The DVR has it’s quirks, but overall I’m very happy. Next step is DSL!

Ready to ditch the cable…

Alrighty then.

We are ready to ditch the cable company as the TV and Internet provider. I ordered Dishnetwork today and will order the DSL tomorrow.

No more paying comcast 180 bucks a month!

The DSL will be a bit slower but it’s half the price!

Dart tournament..

Last night the dart tournament was a disappointment. I crapped out at the end and shot real bad. We did not qualify for saturdays finals.

We missed it by 3 games, part of me is glad we did because it would have meant a solid day of darts and I don’t think my feet and back could take it.

On the way to the tournament my car started acting up, every time it shifted I felt a huge jerk. Thinking the transmission might be going out or just I just need some fluid in it.
