I’m a sucker… I downloaded iTunes for windows and I like it! best of all less than ten bucks for an album! Can’t beat that!

A great company…

Three years ago the company gave us a gift basket for xmas, two years ago they gave us a some pens or a candle, last year we got noting due to budget reasons… and this year the company is pleading for us to donate!!
Is that a sign of a companys well-being? Or the fact that we have not recieved any pay raises for almost 3 years?
Man… I don’t know where the company is going. Another example… Whe I started with the company we had two IT guys + a boss. One windows guy and one unix guy. As the company grew we hired a contractor as another windows guy and an Intern. First was the contractor to be let go and now the intern, meanwhile the number of windows machines have essentially 3 doubled and propobly unix machines have doubled… so we are back to 2 IT + boss.. sigh.
Now the latest blow.. benefits. PPO is going to cost a bunch more or you can choose HMO that is if the provider had a contract with a HMO provider closer than 2 state lines. Our choise is expensive PPO or nothing, nice huh?

Booka launch party

Today was (or actually yesterday because i am typing this after midnight) the book launch party. Lots of good food and bunch of people.
During the evening Jenny started have pain in her kidney area… It got worse and worse.. late that night she needed to go to the emergency room to have the doc’s take a look at it. Kidney infection! dang! Good thing the doctors knew it right away that kinda dangerous stuff. She’s on antibiotics now after spending a few hours at the clinic in iv. Barb drove her back and she went straigt to bed. I sure hope she feels a lot better tomorrow after a good night of sleep.
Well, it’s bedtime 4 me now too… night!

Well, my dear husband is like a kid at Christmas… his new laptop finally arrived today! You should have seen his face as he opened the box, hehe. And last thing before going to bed, there he is, surfing the web IN BED! 
And let’s see… that’s computer #3 for him… how many computers does it take to make a geek?
