Last Tuesday night about 3AM a sharp pain from one of my two real molars on my left lower side woke me up.
It was sharp enough that I could not fall asleep. I was mostly awake for the entire night and after eating 500mg Tylenol’s
the pain subsided enough that i left for work.

At work the pain returned with a vengeance giving me minimal chance to concentrate on my actual work. So I called my dentist who fit me in at 4PM.
With the pain in my mouth I did not eat nor drink since Tuesday night. at this point I was hungry but the outlook of putting food in my mouth with the pain was out of the question.

At 4PM my dentist after taking some x-rays figured I could get away with not doing a root canal job on the tooth.. YAY!! he just patched it up after giving me what seemed like a hefty dose of novacaine. Sent me home with a Rx of Vicodin.

With my numb jaw I went home without filling my Rx and decided to take a nap both having had any sleep until now… I work up at 7pm with MASSIVE pain in my jaw since the novacaine dissipated. Holy crap!!!!! I could not think straight and the prospect of having this level of pain until next day that I could even remotely see a dentist was out of the question.

It was either getting my Rx filled or a bullet in my head…. good lord I was in pain. Barb figured out that the local pharmacy was still open and she went and filled my prescription. I took my dose of vicodin and it took the edge off the pain so I could at least sit still and relax until I could call my dentist in the morning.

6:30am came and I jumped in my car and drove towards my dentist that fit me in at 8:30 AM for a emergency root canal.

Now a couple of days after the procedure I can still feel that my jaw is sore and I have a little pain but nothing I can’t deal with after the recent ordeal.

I fucking hate toothache!
